[VIDEOS] Message to Flora Park Gr 12’s: ‘Never stop until you reach the top’

Flora Park Comprehensive High School hosted their award ceremony for their Gr 12's and teachers yesterday.

POLOKWANE – “In order for everyone to believe in you, believe in yourself first,” says Delight Shaun Hlatshwayo.

Hlatshwayo delivered the keynote address at Flora Park Comprehensive High School’s award ceremony for their Gr 12 learners, which was held on Tuesday, 3 November. He spoke about how he achieved success at a young age.

In the video he tells the learners to never stop working hard until they are where they want to be in life. “Never stop achieving what you want to achieve until you reach the top. You are nothing but wolves that are still climbing a hill,” he said.

Hlatshwayo made the learners sing along to a motivational song which he wrote to hype them up for their upcoming exams.

School Principal, Joseph Masekela urged the class of 2020 to do better than the class of 2019, who obtained a pass rate of 85,9%. Masekela praised the class of Gr 12 B for attending the Saturday classes promptly. “You made us proud for staying committed and showing us that you are keen to learn more,” he said.

He shared three important things the learners should consider when they go to university. “You guys should always have a vision, because without vision no target will be achieved. You should plan. Plan your timetables accordingly, because if you’re not committed, you will not reach your goals. Lastly, be committed throughout your studies no matter what.”

To conclude, he wished the learners well for their exams and future endeavours. Learners and teachers were awarded with medals and certificates for their hard work and improvements throughout the year.
