POLOKWANE – Loved ones are urgently searching for Peter Stubbs, a deaf man who suffers from dementia, after he went missing yesterday.

According to Corne Spruyt, a friend of Stubbs, he was found in grass in the Myngenoegen area on Tuesday night before he was collected by the police.

“He stayed in the police compound during the evening and he was dropped off by the SAPS at the Fontana Garage in Compensatie Street this morning at what time I don’t know, they simply dropped him off,” Spruyt told the Polokwane Review-Observer.

His whereabouts since then remain unknown.

“He was last seen in the clothing pictured. The only other thing that people should know is that he is deaf and he suffers from dementia. He might struggle to talk and he definitely will not hear you,” he said.

Spruyt added that Stubbs also has a growth on his head that needs urgent attention.
