Rotary’s spirit of service alive in Pietersburg 100 Club

The Pietersburg 100 Rotary Club makes a meaningful difference through community projects, promoting service, fellowship, and diversity.

POLOKWANE – The Pietersburg 100 Rotary Club hosts meetings every Thursday with the goal of making a meaningful difference in the community.

Rotary’s primary mission is to promote service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership through a range of projects and initiatives.

Comprised of individuals from diverse professional backgrounds, the club is dedicated to addressing key global issues such as promoting peace and conflict resolution, combatting diseases (with a particular focus on eradicating polio), providing clean water and sanitation, supporting education and literacy, boosting local economies, and improving the health and well-being of mothers and children.

Last Thursday’s meeting featured a special guest from Finland, Elmari Sieppi, who shared insights on various activities visitors can enjoy when visiting her home country.

These weekly gatherings serve as a vital platform for exchanging ideas, identifying community needs, and planning future initiatives. The inclusive environment encourages all members to share their perspectives, ensuring the club remains a true reflection of the community it serves.

“We understand that not everyone can always attend, but if you’re unable to make it, an apology is accepted. We work together as a club to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and find solutions to the challenges facing our community,” said club member Horst Meyer.

The Pietersburg 100 Rotary Club embodies the power of collaboration, demonstrating how a group of passionate individuals can drive positive change.

By working together, the club not only addresses immediate concerns but also fosters a culture of compassion and resilience within the community.

Their ongoing efforts serve as a reminder that lasting change begins with a shared commitment to the greater good.
