Nirvana resident celebrates 91st at Bokke game

Family members treated well-known Nirvana resident, Manjulabhen Mistry, to a Springbok and All Blacks game for her 91st birthday.

POLOKWANE – Celebrating her 91st birthday, well-known resident of Nirvana, Manjulabhen Mistry was treated to the international rugby match between the Springboks and the All Blacks at Emirates Airline Park last Saturday by her grandson Jatin Harshad Mistry, his wife Vandana, grandson Kavish Harshad Mistry and his wife, Mamta.

Mistry’s birthday was September 6, and she spent the day at Sun City with her son, Harshad J Mistry and his family.

According to Mistry’s daughter-in-law, Jyoti, the family made great preparations to keep her warm and comfortable, and fortunately, the weather did not turn out too bad.

“She wore a green dress and was also wrapped in a green blanket – the Springbok colours. She was amazed to see thousands of people at the stadium. The Emirates aircraft flying over the stadium excited her and she also raised her hands to join in for the Mexican wave,” Jyoti said.

Manjulabhen said it’s so nice that the Springboks won the game and she shared the same excitement as fellow South Africans.

“She also enjoyed the vegetarian junk food and surprisingly, she was not too tired from being in the stadium for hours,” her daughter-in-law commented.
