Limpopo Hawks seize electronic devices at Thulamela Local Municipality

Provinical Hawks spokesperson Warrant Officer Lethunya Mmuroa said the seized devices are necessary for an investigation involving alleged fraud and corruption. 

LIMPOPO – The Limpopo Hawks in collaboration with the Vhembe based Public Order Police and Tactical Response Team seized electronic devices at the Thulamela Local Municipality outside Thohoyandou on Tuesday.

Provinical Hawks spokesperson Warrant Officer Lethunya Mmuroa said the seized devices are necessary for an investigation involving alleged fraud and corruption.

“The team presented search warrants to the affected municipal employees during the operation,” his statement read.

The provincial Hawks head Major General (Adv) Gopz Govender hailed the team for the massive operation, while Major General Govender said the Hawks launched Operation Correction to remove all corrupt members from government and private sectors.

“Operations continue within Limpopo,” Mmuroa said.
