Eight hour turnaround time for repairs on Olifantspoort Plant

Water supply to Polokwane, Seshego and other areas will be affected by another leak on the Olifantspoort Plant's Specon line.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has urged residents who are receiving water to use it sparingly as the city grapples with yet another supply interruption.
According to municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala, Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) has began urgent repairs on a specon line leak.
“This has necessitated a temporary shutdown of the Olifantspoort Water Treatment Plant. The repair work is expected to take approximately eight hours to complete,” his statement read.
Selala added that water supply to all areas will be affected during this time.
