POLOKWANE – Becoming a voluntary donor shows the willingness to give the gift of life to others, as every unit of blood is precious and counts.
Teachers and learners at Mitchell House bled for a good cause which was to save the lives of others during their blood drive held on Thursday.
The organiser of the blood drive, Mahlapane Ramaseli believes in helping others.
“As an intern at the school and organiser of the blood drive, I am very pleased because this is something I’m passionate about and helping others is what I’ve always loved. It is important to help learners see the importance of donating blood,” she added.
She also highlighted that blood drives at schools encourage learners to be responsible citizens and think about the next person.
Donors were given goodies and fleece blankets for being brave and taking part in the initiative.
