POLOKWANE – The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has commended the swift arrest of two suspects following the discovery of two women’s decomposed bodies on a farm in Sebayeng, outside Mankweng on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the owner of the farm (60) and an employee (19) were arrested earlier today (August 22) by the Provincial Tracking Team and Murder and Robbery Unit after a thorough investigation.
Ledwaba said the women’s bodies were discovered on Monday (August 20) after the police were alerted about a missing 45-year-old South African woman who disappeared after visiting the farm on August 17.
“A search of the farm revealed the body of the missing woman and another body of a 35-year-old foreign national woman in an advanced stage of decomposition. Further investigation revealed that both women sustained gunshot wounds and were with a 47-year-old foreign national man when they visited the farm, who was also shot and is currently hospitalized,” his statement read.

Ledwaba said the motive for the gruesome murder is still under investigation.
Hadebe dubbed the murder as one of the most disturbing and inhumane acts the province has seen and ensured those responsible will face the full might of the law.
The suspects will appear before the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court tomorrow facing two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
