LIMPOPO – Education MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya conducted a readiness assessment at Sinthumule Secondary School last week to evaluate the school’s preparedness for the upcoming trial examinations.
The visit aimed to ensure that both learners and teachers are well-equipped to excel in these crucial exams.
During her visit, Lerule-Ramakhanya engaged with school management and teachers to discuss challenges and strategies for improving exam results.
She also interacted with learners to motivate them and provide guidance on their trial exam preparations.
Additionally, she met with support staff to assess the school’s infrastructure and resources.
This visit was part of the MEC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and improve results in the province.
Lerule-Ramakhanya expressed her satisfaction with the department’s readiness to commence the trial examinations this week.
“These preparations are crucial for our learners as they approach the end of the academic year. Trial exams serve as a rehearsal for the final exams, and it is vital that both learners and the examination team are fully prepared,” she said.
She stressed the department’s commitment to maintaining Limpopo’s strong performance in key subjects including mathematics and science, which have historically yielded a high number of bachelor passes. “We will continue to focus on these subjects because they define who we are as a province,” she noted.
She also took the opportunity to thank all stakeholders – learners, teachers and the school governing body – for their collective efforts in elevating the province’s standards.
“Limpopo is on the rise, and this success is the result of everyone’s dedication. When the school bell rings and the gates open, it is a collective effort that drives our progress. I’m excited about the positive trajectory of education in our province, and I believe it can significantly impact our economic development,” she concluded.
