Mitchell House learner hosts school shoe drive

Mohau Mogadi launches school shoe drive to help underprivileged children, aiming to make a difference one step at a time.

POLOKWANE – Mitchell House junior phase learner Mohau Mogadi hosted a school shoe drive under her foundation, the Mohau Mogadi Foundation, requesting the public to donate school shoes this month.

Mogadi’s aim and mission within the foundation is to ‘walk a child to school’ through the shoes donated.

“With great pride and compassion, we will donate the shoes to children, fostering hope and happiness,” she said.

She told Review that in the spirit of giving, she is proud to support and run the initiative to make a difference, one step at a time.

“With the help of my amazing and supportive parents Katlego and Silas, along with family and friends, we’ve done some research. Since children outgrow shoes, shoe drives are a great way to give back and make sure that they have shoes to go to school with, especially kids that have to walk to school during this cold season,” she said.

Mogadi who’s also a model concluded that her foundation is an accessible network in Polokwane where the team has the ability to collect lots of school shoes, donated by different people in the city, to donate to the less fortunate.
