Another suspected love triangle tiff leads to death of Limpopo man

Two men are said to have engaged in a bitter exchange during an apparent love triangle tiff that left one man dead.

LIMPOPO – The police in Modjadjiskloof outside Tzaneen are searching for the suspect accused of stabbing a 31-year-old man to death in a suspected love triangle incident on Saturday afternoon.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the incident occurred in Lehlareng, Ga-Sekgopo village.

He explained that the police received a complaint from the local hospital about a man admitted with stab wounds to his upper body but he succumbed to the injuries shortly after their arrival.

“Preliminary reports suggest the deceased and his girlfriend met the suspect in public, who also happened to be the woman’s boyfriend. The two men engaged in a bitter exchange over the woman and the suspect hen drew a knife and stabbed the deceased in the upper body,” Ledwaba said.

He added that the suspect, who was positively identified, fled the scene and left the the victim lying in a pool of blood.

“Police have opened a case of murder and they are following crucial leads in efforts to bring the suspect to book.
