POLOKWANE – The Police in Westenburg seek the public’s assistance in locating the missing man Gerhard van der Merwe (43).
Van der Merwe, who resides at the Leeukuil Plots was last seen by his wife on June 23, according to the Limpopo police.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says Van der Merwe’s wife alleges that he told her he was going to consult with his psychologist that day and has since disappeared.
According to a missing person’s post by the Pink Ladies, he was last seen wearing a shirt, blue jeans, a grey hoodie and grey tekkies.
They describe Van der Merwe as a tall, slender man with brown eyes who wears glasses. He is also said to have a faded tattoo on his right shoulder.
“Efforts were made to locate the victim at relatives, friends and surrounding areas he frequently visits but were not successful,” Ledwaba said.
