PEMPS hosts storytelling evening

PEMPS parents were treated to an evening of storytelling from the learners as they showcased their reading and acting skills.

POLOKWANE – To show off learners’ reading and storytelling skills, PEMPS hosted a storytelling evening last Wednesday where parents came to watch and listen to their children narrate their stories on stage.

To make the storytelling evening more colourful, the stage was decorated with lights and props in the background to give each storyteller more meaning and a description of what they’re narrating.

Learners told and acted out stories such as ‘Why the Rabbit Doesn’t Lie’, ‘The Lost Teddy’, ‘How the Zebra Got its Stripes’, ‘A Bragger and a Bear’, ‘Pied Piper of Hamelin’, ‘When Jane Kept House’, ‘The Princess and the Frog’ and other popular children’s rhymes and stories.

Some of the learners made their stories more interesting as they wore costumes while narrating.
