Video evidence to form part of Moletjie man’s murder trial

Ludwick Mokgohloa (50) from Moletjie reportedly stabbed his girlfriend with a knife before fleeing the scene on June 5.

POLOKWANE – The man accused of having killed his pregnant partner in Sengatane earlier this month, has abandoned his bail application in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court last Thursday.

Ludwick Mokgohloa (50) from Moletjie was in court for the second time where it was heard that he and Ngoako Judius Mabetoa (49) were reportedly involved in a heated argument moments before her death on June 5.

Mokgohloa reportedly stabbed her with a knife before fleeing the scene.

After a manhunt was launched, the police located him on June 8.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)’s Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said investigations show that a child took a video of the incident which the state intends to use to support its argument for the accused to be convicted.

The suspect remains in custody while the matter has been postponed to August 26 for further investigations.
