Two day planned power outage to affect water supply in Polokwane

A two day planned power outage is expected to affect residents in the City of Polokwane in next week as the Greater Tzaneen Municipality carries out refurbishment work.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says they will provide temporary relief to affected residents during a planned water shutdown by the Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM) next week.

A two day planned power outage is expected to affect residents in the City of Polokwane as GTM carries out refurbishment worK.

“The refurbishment of the 33kV line on the Tzaneen Main Feeder will result in the stoppage of the Ebenezer Scheme. The power outage is scheduled to begin at 06:00 on Wednesday (June 26) and is expected to last for two days,” municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said.

He added that the planned outage will affect water supply in all areas within the Polokwane Municipality.

“We will monitor the situation closely and provide relief during the disruption,” he said.
