Generous donation to Seemole ECD centre near Seshego

As part of their community outreach efforts, Limvo VW Crew provided essential items, cleaning materials and educational tools to the centre.

POLOKWANE – Seemole Early Childhood Development Centre in Letsokoane near Seshego, received a generous donation of essential items from the Limvo VW Crew last Saturday.

As part of their community outreach efforts, Limvo VW Crew provided 15 mattresses, 12 blankets, three pots, cleaning materials and educational tools to the centre.

The event was also supported by biker groups such as Unicorn Riders and Sapa Yopa MCC, who joined forces with the Mogalakwena VW Crew to make this donation possible.

Tshepo Louwrence Mokwena, the founder of Limvo VW Crew, explained that the initiative is part of their corporate social investment strategy.

“We aim to improve the lives of disadvantaged people across multiple development sectors and communities. We asked the centre to identify their needs. It is amazing to be able to give back to the community. This donation also aims to break stereotypes about motor vehicle clubs, especially in townships, that we are always about fun and entertainment. We hope to bring positive change to our community,” said Mokwena.

He acknowledged the challenges faced by many early childhood centres which often lack basic facilities.

“Many centres do not have such facilities, which creates difficulties for both founders and kids, as they have nothing to learn with. We decided to address this issue by donating these essential items. We also provided bedding to the Limpopo Anti-Drugs Gangsterism and Crime initiative,” Mokwena added.

Mokwena expressed sincere gratitude to the sponsors who made the initiative possible and thanked Seemole Early Childhood Development Centre and Limpopo Anti-Drugs Gangsterism and Crime for their warm welcome.

Raesetja Winnie Makoea, principal of Seemole, expressed her appreciation for the donation.

“We are very happy that Limvo VW Crew came to our centre and donated these items. We did not have these essentials, and we desperately needed them. We are overjoyed and grateful to all the contributors who made this possible,” said Makoea.
