Eagles fly high in Limpopo soccer league
The Eagles' u/11 soccer boys won silver and the u/12 bagged a gold medal, with coach Kakumbo receiving the trophy on the school's behalf.
POLOKWANE – Eagle’s Nest Christian School competed in the schools soccer league on Saturday at the Northern Academy sports grounds.
During the semi-finals, Eagle’s u/11 soccer boys played against Chris Hofmeyr and won 3-2; and the u/12s beat the same opponents by 13-0.
The u/11s lost 3-0 against Mokopane in the final, while the u/12s won 4-2 on penalties.
Overall, the Eagles’ u/11 soccer boys won silver and the u/12 bagged a gold medal in the league, with coach Tichaona Kakumbo receiving the trophy on the school’s behalf.
The u/9 boys who played the previous weekend, also obtained gold having won all of their matches.
