Over the years, the 18-year-old has performed exceptionally well and attributes his success to God, consistency, discipline, and humility.

POLOKWANE – Regaugetswe Moloko Junior Pheeha’s hard work paid off when he was recognised by his school, PEPPS Preparatory and College School for his outstanding achievements in swimming.

The 18-year-old recently received a scroll for representing South Africa on various occasions since 2020, and most recently for representing the country at the 2023 BRICS Games that were held in Durban in October.

The Gr 12 learner started swimming at the age of four.

“My mother saw my interest in swimming and she taught me how to swim. Later on, when I was eight, she took me to Eagar Aquatics for lessons,” he said.

Over the years, he has performed exceptionally well and he attributes this to remaining consistent, disciplined and humble. He further added that he always puts God first.

In the future, Pheeha would like to be recognised as one of the top swimmers around the world and he plans to achieve this by remaining consistent in his training.
