POLOKWANE – The 28-year-old Isaac Modiba from Ga-Mamabolo Spitzkop, a village outside Mankweng, believes discrimination and bullying against those who do not have money, should come to an end.

He is the founder and director of Isaac’s Food and Event, and of Lenna ke Motho charity organisation as a student from Capricorn TVET who studied hospitality.

He said it is important to build a legacy for the next generation. “As a young entrepreneur I believe in clean work and a unique taste, and this is how I win over customers.”

Isaac’s Food and Event caters for weddings, funerals and parties, while Lenna ke Motho helps children who are in need. Its mission is to help, educate and build the younger generation to become better people.

Isaac says he uses his profit from the catering business to buy uniforms and food to those in need as he does not have sponsors yet.

“Each year we have a back-to-school campaign and a Mandela Day event with the aim of motivating the younger generation,” he said. He wishes to see his business flourishing so that he can employ more people. I encourage youths to learn to be self-employed, as we live in a country with high unemployment rates. They must speak to successful entrepreneurs and find out what route they followed.”
