[TAKE NOTE] Traffic delays on N1 heading to Louis Trichardt
An incident on the highway has resulted in traffic backing up, and motorists are urged to use alternative routes.
POLOKWANE – Motorists travelling on the N1 North are advised to use alternative routes due to heavy traffic between Botlokwa (Matoks) and Rita en route Polokwane.
It is believed that the scene of the incident is approximately 40 minutes from Polokwane.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a truck crashed into an armoured cash vehicle resulting in several injuries.
A source close to the scene confirmed that emergency services, including a helivac, are en route to the scene.
The Polokwane Observer has contacted the SAPS and the Department of Transport for comment on the matter.
