POLOKWANE – Prince Sadiki and Andrew Fraiser, Meropa Casino and Entertainment World Enterprise Development Loan Owners believe the refurbishments at Wild Thingz will position the casino as a preferred gaming and non-gaming establishment in the province.
The area was closed for two years for revamps and was opened to the public in December 2022.
It boasts recreational activities, a swimming area, a kiddies play area, a bird and reptile area and Go-Karts.
“We decided on the revamps because we want to elevate the experience for families. We want those who don’t gamble to enjoy Meropa.
“The area is accessible to everyone – children pay R50 while adults pay R100. The area is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 18:00.”
Schools are welcome to make use of the area for their excursions too, he added.
“The swimming pool is 35x25m and very safe. We want to create a family orientated area. There will be life guards monitoring the swimmers, and costumes, beverages and food will be sold on site.
“We have everything on site,” said Sadiki and Fraiser.
Some of the activities available at the area include park tours, tug of war, jenga games, chess, train rides, snake shows, sack races, pool table, soccer competitions, snake shows, Playstation games, water gun battles, air ball, belly flop contests, freeze tag and diving olympics.
