Mutshidzi believes in enhancing one’s beauty
Mutshidzi Mashau is a self-taught makeup artist who learned most of her skills from watching makeup tutorials on YouTube.
POLOKWANE – “As a makeup artist, I believe the most important part of my job is to make sure that each client looks and feels their best. I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way and we as makeup artists only enhance their beauty even more.”
This is according to makeup artist Mutshidzi Mashau, the owner and founder of Golden Beauty with Vee with the slogan ‘We Know the Best’.
Mashau, who stays in Ladanna, developed a passion for makeup in 2015 when she was in college.
“I’m a self-taught makeup artist as I learned most of my beauty skills from watching makeup tutorial videos on YouTube and sharpened my skills with the help of a professional makeup artist, Nthabiseng Mokoena whom I used to work with at a salon in Johannesburg,” she said.
At her own salon, Mashau provides services for full face-beat makeup according to her clients’ colour preference, and eyebrows on fleek as she believes eyebrows are the main features that make a face look neat and perfect.
“We do more makeup styles, and nails and hair to fit every occasion.”
Mashau emphasised that she is passionate about helping others look their best and seeing the smiles of satisfaction.
“We also do facials and body massages at the salon for those who only want to come in for relaxation and leisure.”
