Planned power outage for most parts of city on Sunday
The Polokwane Municipality has announced an eight hour power outage on Sunday which will affect most residents in the city.
POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has announced a power outage for eight hours on Sunday, from 06:00 to 14:00, which will affect most residents in the city.
Municipal Spokesperson Thipa Selala said this is in order to connect high voltage cables at the Gamma substation for the New Pietersburg 11kV Switching Station Project.
The following areas will be affected:
- Blaauwberg Street
- Corondrum street and surroundings
- Correctional Services
- Doloriet Street
- Dr. Annecke Street and surrounding
- Emdo Park and surroundings
- Enterprise Factory Shop
- Fire and Emergency Services
- Futura
- Game Centre
- Hoërskool Noorderland
- Industria
- Laboria
- Ladine
- Lafarge
- Lesedi Park
- Mahlako A Phahla
- Mahlasedi Park
- Nissan
- Parts of Annadale (Railway to Bulawayo Street; River to Spelonken Street; Pietersburg, Hill and Mara Streets)
- Pietersburg Hospital
- Platinum Street and surroundings
- SABC
- Silicon Street
