Polokwane police to hunt down stabbing victim’s killer(s)

A 28-year-old man was found lying on the corner of Rissik Street and Nelson Mandela Drive prior to him being transported to the hospital. 

POLOKWANE – The police in Polokwane are calling on the community at large to provide any information that may lead to the arrest of an unknown suspect(s) responsible for the murder of a 28-year-old man in the city in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The police were summoned to the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital and upon arrival were directed to the lifeless body of a male with a stab wound to the upper body by a doctor.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the victim was found lying on the corner of Rissik Street and Nelson Mandela Drive prior to him being transported to the hospital.

“The victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital a few hours after being admitted. The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage and the deceased was positively identified by his next of kin as Cardozo Dineka (28),” his statement read.

Any information that can lead to apprehension of the suspect(s) should contact the investigating officer Sergeant Petros Monama on 083 338 3892, the crime stop number 08600 10111, at the nearest police station or via the MySAPSApp.
