Rudzani represents Limpopo well in Nigeria

Rudzani Queen Bright is determined to use her titles to educate African people about the importance of unity, regardless of their place of origin and to foster the spirit of ubuntu.

LIMPOPO – Rudzani Queen Bright who hails from Vleifontein, won the Miss Intellectual, Boss Walk Challenge and Best in Swimsuit categories at the Miss Cultural Queen Africa 2023 pageant which was held at the Camp David Event Centre in Port Harcourt City in Nigeria on October 1.

Amid fierce competition from contestants representing 53 African countries including Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Zambia and Ghana, Rudzani’s star soared to new heights. She said being awarded these titles meant a lot to her as it showed that her potential was being recognised.

“The competition brings African people from various countries together, helping them learn about each other’s cultures and understand how each other’s traditions work. I am very happy and proud that my first priority was to travel and represent my beautiful rainbow nation, South Africa. It was an honour to have been entrusted with such an important task, and I am glad that I represented myself and my people very well,” she said.

The third-year B.Com accounting student at Univen shared some insights into the preparation and hard work that went into her performance and participation in the event.

“My preparations started back in May, as I was committed to maintaining the high standards set by previous South African beauty queens. I aspire to be a top model who makes significant strides not only in beauty contests but also on the fashion runway,” she said.

She is determined to use her titles to educate African people about the importance of unity, regardless of their place of origin, and to foster the spirit of ubuntu, she concluded.
