POLOKWANE – Anyone with information that can assist in the arrest of two male suspects sought for a business robbery in Mankweng is urged to contact the police.
An armed robbery in the Ga-Mamphaka village on Wednesday left one person injured and an undisclosed amount of money and other valuable goods stolen, prompting a manhunt by police in the Mankweng area.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said two males entered the premises in the early hours on September 20 while the shop operator was asleep in a back room of the supermarket.
“The shop operator saw the suspects and was then hit on the head with a sharp object and fell to the floor. The victim alleged that he was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money, some cigarettes, airtime vouchers and cellphones,” his statement read.
Ledwaba said the men fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
“Those with information can contact the investigating officer Lieutenant Colonel Magezi Nkuna on 082 319 9500, the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111, at the nearest police station or via the MySAPSApp,” he said.
