Manhunt launched for Bok Street murder suspect(s)

The victim was found lying in a pool of blood with serious injuries and a motorbike was also found next to him.

POLOKWANE – The police in Polokwane is calling on the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a 33-year-old man on Monday night (September 11).

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the man, identified as Trevor Mashao Bosch from Lebowakgomo unit R, was shot and killed around 23:00 in Bok Street.

“According to reports, police were informed about a shooting incident and reacted swiftly together with emergency personnel. The victim was found lying in a pool of blood with serious injuries and a motorbike was also found next to him,” his statement read.

The man was certified dead at the scene.

Ledwaba said the motive behind the incident will be determined by ongoing investigations.

The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident and called it “senseless”.
