Polokwane traffic officer accused of murder to formally apply for bail

Kabelo Duba, attached to the Polokwane Provincial Traffic Unit was positively linked to the murder of Kedidimetse Moche (26) on August 17. 

POLOKWANE – The 34-year-old Kabelo Peter Duba, who was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend, will formally apply for bail on September 15.

Duba, who was arrested at his home in Penina Park on August 24 appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday where the matter was postponed for further police investigations to take place.

Duba, who is attached to the Polokwane Provincial Traffic Unit, was positively linked to the murder of Kedidimetse Moche (26) on August 17.

Moche’s body was found dumped under a bridge near Chuenespoort, Lebowakgomo and was identified by police as a student at the Tshwane University Of Technology (TUT) Polokwane Campus.

Police recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition and exhibits during Dube’s arrest.

He faces charges of murder, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, theft of deceased’s cellphone and defeating the ends of justice.
