Chef Prodigies: New owner, same love for cooking

Chef Prodigies offers classes to children from pre-school to Gr 7 and is already a set extra-curricular item at various schools in the city.

POLOKWANE – Local children cooking business Chef Prodigies has a new owner with Khethani Mushwana from Polokwane having acquired the enterprise.

To continue with the success and a dream team, Mushwana is joined by Jeffrey Rasebechele, Martha Maredi, team manager Refilwe Maladzhi and Kedibone Lesetja.

The mother of two sons, Ndzalo (6) and Khanani (4) and married to Rodney, bought Chef Prodigies at the end of June and started operating from July.

She’s also the director and owner of an Occupational Health and Safety consulting firm, namely Oritonda Projects.

“I have always had a passion for cooking and grew up watching many cooking shows and trying out what I’ve learnt. My love for cooking and exploring with food is what drove me to buy the business.”

She loves that the industry has given her so many things to learn.

“There’s always room to explore or try out new things. We offer a wide range of food that is child friendly, food decorating classes, and baking.”

Chef Prodigies offers classes to children from pre-school to Gr 7 and is already a set extra-curricular item at various schools in the city.

“Apart from having fun and eating, the children also learn skills and learning abilities in these classes,” Mushwana said.

“Chef Prodigies also offers Saturday cooking classes for children from the age of six years as well as cooking and baking birthday parties for children.”
