Meet PEPPS’ new head boy and head girl

As Shalton Mhlari and Naledi Malumane settle into their new roles, the duo say they are ready to lead by example.

POLOKWANE – At the end of the second term, PEPPS Polokwane Preparatory School announced their new head boy and girl.

Shalton Mhlari and Naledi Malumane will lead with respect, kindness and confidence in their new roles.

Naledi said it came as a big surprise when her name was called out.

“I thought that it was supposed to be about popularity,” she said.

Shalton said he felt a combination of surprise and excitement. “I didn’t think people would choose me because I thought it was about being the smartest person.”

As they settle into their new roles, they are ready to lead by example.

“We will lead with respect and show kindness. We are ready to show them what is wrong and what is right,” he said.

Shalton said he hopes the role will make him more respectable and a responsible person, while Naledi is looking forward to help people become leaders and more confident in themselves.

Naledi hopes to one day become an aeronautical engineer, creating, and improving aeroplanes and rocket ships, while Shalton wants to delve into business, managing or owning one in the future.
