Customer satisfaction is Tshilidzi’s top priority

Tshilidzi Ratshibaya says she chose atchar because it sells fast and it is a big part of people's meals as a side.

POLOKWANE – Tshilidzi Ratshibaya says her atchar has customers returning for more.

The 31-year-old started selling her atchar in 2021 to make ends meet.

She holds a qualification in hospitality, but struggled to find employment, she told BONUS, and then decided to start her own business, making good use of her passion.

“I could not sit around and do nothing, so I decided to use my experience from school to make my atchar stand out from the rest.”

The flavours she offers include plain, garlic and hot, but she says her true trump card is the fact that she can adjust the taste to suit customers’ needs.

“Sometimes a client might want garlic, but also hot, and then I change it for them. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. My atchar never disappoints,” she said.

The feedback she has been receiving is also good, she told BONUS, and most of her new clients are referrals.

Ratshibaya says while she used to also bake in the past, she has had to relook her businessplan as atchar remains her bestseller.

“I chose atchar because it moves fast, and it is a big part of people’s meals as a side. So far, I’d say it was a good decision.”

Even if she finds employment, she will not stop making her atchar, she promises customers.

She can be contacted at 072 227 1946 on WhatsApp for both deliveries and collection.
