Man! I feel like a woman!

In celebration of Women's Day, the Polokwane Observer asked readers what the one thing is that they wear that makes them feel like the ultimate woman and why.

POLOKWANE – Canadian singer Shania Twain once said “The best thing about bein’ a woman is the prerogative to have a little fun…”

Whether it’s a pair of high heels, a little black dress or her favourite pair of earrings, a woman always has an item of clothing or an accessory that makes her feel beautiful.

In celebration of Women’s Day, the Polokwane Observer asked readers what the one thing is that they wear that makes them feel like the ultimate woman and why.

Idette Coetzee: My smile, especially if the men in my life are the cause of it. Nothing makes me happier than being able to smile about the little things in life. Marilyn Monroe said: “A smile is the best makeup any girl can wear”. I think she was spot-on.
Tshego Tladi: Being comfortable in my own skin. I believe what we wear, our hair, make up and shoes are just a ‘cherry on top’ and they just enhance our looks but do not define who we are. I believe all women are unique in their own ways.”
Rhulani Jagome: For me it is not about the clothes or cosmetics but confidence and character. I think women should wear that everyday. They should exude the fighting spirit and advocate empowerment in their communities.
Ngoatle Palesa: Heels definitely make me feel like a woman. They boost my confidence and make me feel like a grown woman. They also help me embrace my self esteem.
Tshegofatso Matlho: For me, it’s high heels. If you can conquer in high heels, you can do anything. With high heels you are literally vibrating at a higher level.
Shalati Chauke: My hair is my crown. I might dress down but when my hair is on point, my confidence is on another level.
Lindi Olivier: Wearing makeup and styling my hair. It is a woman’s privilege and not really for a man. It sets me apart.
