Manhunt launched for Mokopane house robbery suspects

The victims of a robbery at the work quarters of a seedling and instant lawn company in Mokopane say they were also assaulted by the suspects.

MOKOPANE – The police in Mokopane have launched a manhunt for a group of suspects involved in the robbery of employees at a seedling and instant lawn company on Sunday night.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said one of the victims (58) was sleeping in her room at the work quarters when a group of four men broke in and pointed at her with firearms and demanded money.

“The suspects robbed her of cash and proceeded to other rooms where cash, clothes and company assets were also robbed,” he said.

The victims alleged that they were assaulted during the robbery and sustained minor injuries.

The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has appealed to the community to come forward with valuable information in order for the suspects to be arrested.
