Local youth organisation seeks public donations for those in need

The Re Itukisheditse Go Neela organisation consists of a group of local youth who provide assistance to the underprivileged in both Mankweng and Seshego.

POLOKWANE – Re Itukisheditse Go Neela was founded by young people who have a passion for giving, and their mission as an organisation is to continuously supply sustainable deliverables.

The chairperson of the organisation, Mahlogonolo Mothapo told BONUS that it’s their vision to offer a variety of services.

“The organisation would like assistance from the public to donate sanitary pads and similar products for us to deliver to schools, shelters and homes for the less privileged. To donate sanitary towels is a way of contributing to girls’ education as they will be able to attend school even during their menstrual cycle,” she said.

“Charity work is something you do because you want to do it and because you want to bring change. It is something we do without expecting anything in return. Some believe charity should start at home, but others believe it should originate from the heart. But wherever it starts, we have the desire to give, and that extends to those beyond our own homes too.”

She added that you don’t have to be a millionaire to make a difference.

“It is the small donations and hard work that we do, that counts. It is better to start from a young age and grow as time goes by. Through love, motivation and opportunities we will help people thrive and become self-sufficient, and support the elderly with dignity and assistance.”

If you would like to donate, you can contact the foundation on 064 690 1452 or send an email to readytogive22@gmail.com.
