Man’s dead body found on Dendron Road sparks investigation

Preliminary police investigations indicate Cidial Nkoana was stabbed with an unknown object.

POLOKWANE – The Seshego police say the motive behind an incident that led to the murder of a 30-year-old man will form part of an investigation.

The body of Cidial Nkoana was found along the R521 in the Ga-Semenya village on Sunday morning with multiple injuries on his upper body.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the deceased was last seen in Ga-Ramongwana village after leaving home on Saturday (July 8).

“The police were informed about the unpleasant discovery and rushed to the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was stabbed with an unknown object,” he said.

Ledwaba confirmed that a manhunt for the suspect(s) is underway and that anyone with information that can assist the investigation should contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Michael Pete on 066 183 0869; the crime stop number on 08600 10111; the nearest police station or via the MysapsApp.

“Police investigations into the matter continue,” he said.
