POLOKWANE – Before making her way to Johannesburg to join the rest of the Top 30 Miss South Africa finalists, Polokwane’s Naledi Mara spearheaded a clean-up campaign in Kwena Moloto, Seshego.

Naledi was recently announced as one of the Top 30 for the popular competition and will represent Polokwane going forward.

The clean-up campaign was hosted at Dipereng on the Matlala Road on Saturday (May 27) which saw the community get their hands dirty as they joined the initiative to support Naledi.

Naledi told the Polokwane Observer that the aim of the campaign was to clean, repair and improve public spaces, vacant lots or abandoned areas that have been neglected, vandalised or misused.

“By engaging with the unemployed, this campaign aims to provide them with opportunities and empower them to contribute to a cleaner environment and a better future to all,” she said.
