Life through Pfarelo’s lens

Pfarelo started his own company because of his passion for photography, and it has since become his livelihood.

LIMPOPO- Pfarelo Masutha of Phadzima has embarked on a journey to revolutionise the photography industry in Limpopo, and has already become a household name. He specialises in capturing special occasions, including weddings, parties and funerals, on quality videos and photos.

Now, he is looking at the possibility of making movies.

Phadzima started his photography business in 2010 and says he loved the art since he was young.

“I was encouraged by well-known photographer Emmanuel ‘Mr Photographer’ Davhana. I started my own company because of my passion for photography, and it has since become my livelihood.”

He says he finds great joy in the ability to capture memories that tell people’s stories.

“Photography is a natural talent for me, influenced by a love for colour and nature, which I love to capture on camera,” he said.

He says he has great plans for the future.

“I started small, but I am dreaming of a big company with big equipment that can employ others. With the inspiration I get from other photographers, I think the sky’s the limit.”

He says that the quality of the work he produces has earned him many clients. “At first I didn’t have enough equipment to get the job done, but as time went on, things got better. More people saw my pictures on social media and gave me events and other jobs to cover. With the money from those assignments, I bought my own equipment, and here I am today. I am a lucky man to be able to do what I love best,” he said.
