POLOKWANE – Miss Limpopo 2023, Mary-Grace Whitehead headed to the Ga Maboi Drop In Centre in Mankweng on April 9 to donate Easter treats that were sponsored Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane.
“I shared some words of encouragement and reflection during this time, that calls for us to look into our lives and be more mindful and intentional with our actions,” she said.
Spending time with the children was fruitful, she said.
Her previous visit to the centre was for a Christmas party where she brought gifts and food for the children.
“It warmed my heart to be able to spend time with them, especially over Easter, as this is a time for families to come together. I can say that I have almost 200 brothers and sisters who are destined for greatness.”
Whitehead was accompanied by the executive chef at Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane, Keletso Molaotse and the coordinator of the drop in centre, Pastor Lerato Mojapelo-Maluleke.
After the formalities, Whitehead, and the team from Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane headed back to the hotel to join in the festivities that were taking place there.
Park Inn by Radisson Polokwane hosted children of all ages to participate in Easter egg hunts, dancing, jumping on bouncy houses and face painting done by Miss Limpopo 2023.
Whitehead took photos with the stall owners who were showcasing their products.
It was an overall family event where families got together to spend quality time and having fun.
