No pumping at Olifantspoort Plant due to pipe leak – LNW

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said all areas of supply within the municipality will be affected. 

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality said it will monitor areas experiencing water shortages in order to provide temporary supply though water tankers.

Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) said pumping at the Olifantspoort Plant has stopped due to a pipe leak outside pump station three that will affect water supply to the city.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said all areas of supply within the municipality will be affected.

He added that LNW will share details in terms of repairs and supply restoration once the pipe is exposed.

“We urge customers receiving supply to use water sparingly,” his statement read.
