Hasstle-free car licence renewals at the Post Office

The South African Post Office has some tips for car owners who would like to renew their car licences at their nearest branch.

LIMPOPO – If you were to ask around, it is likely that very few to no car owners will say they look forward to renew their licence.

Just the thought about the long queues is enough to demotivate a lot of us.

The South African Post Office offered some tips on how to renew your car licence quickly and painless while saving money.

Unlike when utilising the individuals and businesses that offer to stand in line on behalf of the customer, there is no extra commission or cost involved if you renew your car licence at a Post Office branch.

Another benefit is that you receive your new licence disc immediately, which means you don’t have to brave the queues again to collect it.

The only documents you need to renew your licence at a post office is your ID book/card and a completed renewal form.

The form can be downloaded in advance from the Post Office’s website (www.postoffice.co.za), and you can complete it before you go to the post office to save even more time.

Take a copy with your ID with as it will save time too.

Fleet owners can also benefit from this service, as they are allowed to pay the licence via EFT and do not even need to leave their offices complete the renewal.

If you are interested in using this service, speak to someone at your nearest Post Office or send an email to SocialMedia@postoffice.co.za.
