POLOKWANE – The South African Weather Service has once again placed Polokwane under a Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms today (October 8)
The weather service’s Level 2 warning suggests a high likelihood of severe thunderstorms and will be in place until 15:59 this afternoon.
Heavy downpours have occurred throughout the morning with more rain expected.
According to AccuWeather, there is a 75% chance of rain from 12:00 this afternoon with 3mm expected.
Conditions are expected to improve from 19:00 this evening.
Temperatures are also expected to improve on Wednesday (October 9) with a high of 29ºC and partly cloudy conditions.

Howvever, there is an 83% chance of rain expected on Thursday.
Roads in the city are wet and motorists are advised to follow the rules of the road and drive with caution.
