TK Glow makes music to inspire and uplift

Mahlodi ‘Yung Choize’ Lebea and Moses ‘K.Black’ Shibambo say they hope to give a voice to the voiceless through the music they make.

POLOKWANE – Hip-hop duo TK Glow say their goal is to make music that inspires, uplifts and gives a voice to the voiceless.

Mahlodi ‘Yung Choize’ Lebea and Moses ‘K.Black’ Shibambo formed the group in 2014 in Polokwane and began writing and recording their own music in 2015.

“We understand that music can heal your soul and so we make music for those who need to be uplifted,” Mahlodi said.

They have since worked with well-known artists and producers such as Mikey Grey, Alimac Beats, Jaybeatz SA, TY, The Genesis and Vic-Mash, who is also their manager.

Moses told the Polokwane Observer that aside from Amapiano, Hip Hop rules the world.

“Hip-Hop is a dominant genre and to think that just a few short decades ago, hip-hop and rap were viewed as non-commercial is mind-boggling,” Moses said.

TK Glow has performed and won several awards at various events such as the Keith Zulu Nation birthday celebration and the SATMA Awards among others.

Their stage presence makes for an enjoyable performance and the subject of their music ranges from love to hustling.

TK Glow are on Facebook; Instagram and Youtube.
