LIMPOPO – Most South Africans love to take on challenges and they love to record it and spread the word on social media.
The SANBS challenges readers to take part in the Good Hood challenge, which aims to collect 3 500 units of blood per day.
The ‘hood’ refers to any place the SANBS is available to willing residents to donate blood and save lives. For every person that donates blood, three lives can be saved.
This means that 3 500 units of blood can save 10 500 people per day.
To become part of this challenge you can book a blood drive to pop up at your business or nominate a business where SANBS can set up and welcome blood donors.
