Limpopo Impala Cricket confident about T20 knockouts

The squad boasts with experienced players who represented prestigious teams and is ready for the leauge to commence this week.

LIMPOPO – Limpopo Impala Cricket chief executive officer Tommy Phiri believes they have the best personnel to help them win the upcoming matches of the Cricket South Africa Division Two T20 Knockouts.

The league is set to commence this week at Pietermaritzburg Oval and Buffalo Park Cricket.

According to Phiri, they strengthened the squad with good athletes who played for big franchises in the country.

“We added team mates who played for the Lions and Eastern Boarder cricket franchises, as well as some of the teams from England to the squad. I think they will deliver,” he says.

Limpopo Impalas head coach Dumisa Makalima says their chances of winning the competition are good.

“The chances are very high to win the league. We prepared well during the winter. We love to get on the field and play. We have a fit team according to Cricket South Africa statistics. The morale is high and we have prepared well. We just need to focus on our game plan and execute it in every match.”

The team comprises Ludwig Kaestner, Thomas Hobson, Liam Peters, Ruan Haasbroek, Sizwe Masondo, Morne Venter, Ntokozo Mahlaba, Sithembile Langa, Zakhele Qwabe, Louren Steenkamp, Maphekgola Pootona, Sahil Patel, Khaif Patel and Skhonza Nxasana.
