Four dead in N1-25 Boekenhout collision

MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Polly Boshielo warns drivers to be vigilant on the road and to stop when tired.

LIMPOPO – Four people were killed when two vehicles collided on the N1-25 Boekenhout in the Waterberg District on Friday (September 30) afternoon.

Transport spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene said the driver of a light weight vehicle reportedly lost control and collided with another.

“The driver and three passengers died. Two occupants from the other vehicle involved sustained injuries,” she said.

Fatigue is cited as possible cause of the incident.

“We are deeply saddened by the news and mourn with the bereaved families. We equally continue to plead with motorists to obey the rules of the road at all times, and to rest whenever needed, for them to arrive alive at their respective destinations” said MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Polly Boshielo.
