LIMPOPO – The provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe said no one will be spared or treated with leniency when it comes to issues of Gender-Based Violence.
Hadebe’s remarks follow the arrest of a 24-year-old woman for stabbing her boyfriend to death following an domestic violence incident in the Marapong township in Lephalale on Saturday night (September 10).

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the victim was taken to the Marapong Health Care Center after having been stabbed.
“On arrival, police found the victim dead with a stab wound. A case of murder was opened,” he said.
Mojapelo said preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased, identified as Charles Kamogelo from Mafikeng, and his girlfriend had an altercation. During the argument, the suspect stabbed Kamogelo with a sharp object.
“The suspect was traced and arrested. She appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court today (September 12) on a charge of murder and the case was postponed to September 19 for bail application,” Mojapelo said.
