POLOKWANE – Reckless driving has been cited as the possible cause of a collision on the N1-28 in the Vhembe District in which a 29-year-old male was killed.

According to the spokesperson of the Department of Transport and Community Safety, Tidimalo Chuene, a speeding vehicle collided with another on the Maila Road at around 18:00 on Sunday (August 28).
Video footage shows a vehicle slowing down to turn right when it is hit by a bakkie. The bakkie rolls and hits a road sign after impact.
“One person was killed and four passengers and the drivers of both vehicles were injured in the collision. They were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment,” she said.
