VIDEO: Worthy donations from Grease party-goers

The Pam Golding team were able to donate 33 backpacks, 45 handbags, three nappy bags and a box of clothing to women and children in need thanks to their annual Hats and Handbag evening.

POLOKWANE – Last Thursday (August 18), Pam Golding hosted their annual Hats and Handbag evening where guests had the opportunity to dress-up according to the Grease theme with leather jackets and polka dot dresses.

The entrance fee to this fun-filled evening was a handbag or backpack filled with toiletries, toys and sweet treats which would be given to women and children who are victims of crime.

Principal of Pam Golding, Linda de Witt said this was their 10th annual event and thanked every woman who had donated.

“Because of you, we could hand 33 backpacks, 45 handbags, three nappy bags with nappies inside and a box of clothing to women in need. We hope to do it again next year,” she added.

The bags were delivered on August 25 at the Polokwane Child-and Family Welfare Centre, Ngwana Baby House and the Tough Living with Cancer (TLC) ward.
