POLOKWANE – A source has confirmed to the Polokwane Review that a suspect was apprehended during a house robbery in General De La Rey Street a short while ago.
According to the source, it was not a stabbing, however injuries were reported when a fight ensued between the suspect and the home owner. No serious injuries were reported.
Police are currently on the scene.
The house robbery comes less than a week after the murder of Lindie Oberholzer just a few streets away in Windemere Way.

Robbery at residential premises have increased in Polokwane according to the latest crime stats released by the South African Police Service for the three-month period April to June 2022.
Cases increased by 133.3% compared to the same period in 2021.
Common robberies increased by 18.2%, while burglaries at residential premises increased by 26.2%.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo has not yet responded to queries regarding the house robbery.
