Leeto la Polokwane services temporarily suspended

The Seshego-Polokwane and Flora Park taxi associations blockaded the entrance to the Leeto la Polokwane bus depot on Tuesday (August 16).

POLOKWANE – The wheels of the Leeto la Polokwane buses will not be rolling until further notice.

Spokesperson Rebotile Malakalaka made the announcement in a statement where she cites the reason as the blockade by members of the Seshego-Polokwane and Flora Park taxi associations.

“We are going to wait here and stop Leeto la Polokwane buses from moving until Monday if they do not respond to our demands,” Seshego-Polokwane Taxi Association spokesperson Ally Harmer said on Tuesday (August 16).

Malakalaka said the blockade affects their ability to provide an ‘efficient public transportation service’. “Leeto la Polokwane is committed to providing a safe, reliable and cost-efficient public transportation service while prioritising the interests and safety of our passengers, stakeholders and assets,” she explained.

Malakalaka said commuters will be informed when the service will resume.
